For whatever reasons 2006 was the one and only year we have ever skipped a Wedgewood Cup. In 2007 we started two new traditions, we discovered Garden Valley Golf Club in Lindale, TX. This course and set up not only fit our group, but also our budget. It was the most for your money you could get and only an hour outside of Dallas.
The second tradition we adopted was matching uniforms for the four man krewe portion of the event. Yes pleats were still in and it was the boys in black vs the Tiger red uni this year.
The dockside cabin configuration worked great for us and also had a scoreboard friendly area where everyone could gather. Just remember, …. no cigars!
Scott Lacy came up with a repeat performance and won Wedgewood Cup III,.. Congrats Scott!!
