One Week Away

In a matter of a few days we will descend on southern Louisiana.  Abita Springs was incorporated in 1903.  It was originally a Choctaw Indian village, taking its name from nearby medicinal springs. The Choctaw burial and execution grounds, which were in use up until around 1880, are located nearby.  It is home to Abita Spring Microbrewery.  The Abita Brewing Company was established in 1986 as a microbrewery, and in 1994, they added a brew pub and restaurant. Abita’s beer is brewed with the pure water of the artesian wells in Abita Springs.  The Cup will be contested at the world famous Money Hill Plantation Country Club.  This will be the first time in 13 years the state of Louisiana will host the championship.  Here we come. #wedgewoodcup
